I AM SOOOO EXCITED! Someone actually R.E.A.Ds this little blog!! Woohoo! Have I ever mentioned that I love comments? Knowing that someone out there is reading helps motivate me to write more often.
BUT on to the super duper exciting news:
I GOT NOMINATED FOR A LIEBSTER AWARD!
Yay!! You have no idea how excited this made me. The wonderful Lindsey from Just Keep Teaching nominated me for this award. Seriously..my husband was soo confused when I squealed and then wondered what I got for this award. Haha, I don't need any prize - recognition is enough!
So here's the questions that Lindsey asked me:
1. What is your favorite food EVER?
- oh my this one is tough. The favorite one EVER? I can always go for my mom's old fried chicken and mashed potatoes with gravy. I think its a comfort food that I can't replicate. I get pretty close but I think the key part is having mom cook it for me :)
2. Have you ever gone on vacation somewhere you didn't want to come back from?
- We just went to Cozumel this past month. It was great. Not necessarily because it was Cozumel but because it was me and the husband. That's it. Just us. Not the 2 kids, not any family, not friends. Just us. We did what we wanted and when we wanted to. Don't get me wrong, we were ready to come home and see the girls and get back on schedule but it was probably the best vacation so far, and extra relaxing.
3. What is your biggest accomplishment in life so far?
- I think it would just be that I am where I am. As many times as I tried to make it my own plans, God had a hand in it and it has turned out so much better than I could have ever imagined. Two beautiful girls, amazing husband that fully supports me, a family that puts up with my craziness, and a job I absolutely love.
4. If you had the choice to shop anywhere with unlimited budget- where would you go?
- I probably should say something like IKEA or somewhere fancy. But to be honest I think I could do a lot of damage at Target. Everything for the house AND school AND the clothes are pretty cute.
5. What is your greatest piece of advice to new teachers?
- Build relationships with someone that is well respected and "successful" in your building. That person will (hopefully) teach you about time management, planning, new ideas, dealing with coworkers/parents/teachers/etc, and how to become a master teacher.
6. What did you want to be when you were little?
- A dolphin trainer, no joke!
7. What do you do in your spare time?
- I recently started blogging....and that takes up what spare time I'm able to find. I have THREE blogs, wait, 4. This one, one for my kiddos, She's Got Goals (my fitness journey blog) and then Another Beautiful Day which is our family blog. Yeah, I believe I'm crazy somedays and unsure what what I got myself into.
8. Mac or PC?
- I've never touched a Mac.
9. Flying or driving?
- Depends on the distance :) I don't mind flying at all but a good road trip is just as great with the right company!
10. One word to describe your personality:
-Fiesty
